Only few days remain until the competitions start: the FIS Ski World Cup Finals 2018. Åre last hosted the Finals 9 years ago and excitement is growing in town as the grande finale of the season on 14-18 March nears. Several men’s speed teams already visited Åre last week to train on the courses while the speed ladies arrived Wednesday this week.

Racers from Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden and USA already were in Åre to prepare. They trained on the competition courses to get familiar with the surface conditions. The men then continued on to Kvitfjell for the last World Cup races before the Finals in Åre from 14-18 March.

All clear signs that the action is about to get under way. The Arena is in full construction mode. Snow keeps falling and team keeps working. See you in four days!
