With just a year to go until the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Åre, ticket sales for the event opened today, 30 January 2018, during the FIS World Cup City Event at Hammarbybacken in Stockholm.
The Championships will take place from 5-17 February 2019, commemorating the third time since 1954 and 2007 that the Championships are held in Åre.
– With exactly 370 days remaining, today’s launch of the ticket sales also marks the start of the final countdown until the event. The World Cup Finals 2018 in Åre from 14-18 March will be the ultimate dress rehearsal after which all our focus will be on executing our plan, said Niklas Carlsson, CEO of Åre 2019.
The Championships’ goal is to attract 120’000 visitors during the two weeks of competition and unique experiences in the fascinating town of Åre. Currently a variety of grandstand ticket packages are available, ranging from single day grandstand tickets to Week 1 and Week 2 passes to a two-week Championships Pass.
